Nyce Concrete Construction, Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania, adds second set of B.E.P. panels to their toolbox, only this time it’s B.E.P.’s new System-HG.

Chuck Nyce was looking to replace some of his company’s older hand set forms. He really wanted to find forms that utilized re-usable taper ties like those in his B.E.P. BIG PANELS. Luckily, B.E.P. had just introduced a panel that could be integrated seamlessly with Nyce’s existing hand set BIG PANELS. The System-HG panels feature a flat 2” rail punched to match the 6-12 hole pattern on Nyce’s older forms. Nyce merely bolts the HG panels together to create gang sections of any size or employs them as filler panels and uses them in conjunction with his BIG PANELS. And Nyce’s crew reports that the handles, standard on all HG panels, make moving and setting these forms a piece of cake.

The System-HG comes in all standard heights and common widths up to 3’, all hole patterns, and smooth and all brick designs—Georgian Stone, Adobe Brick and our new Iowa Shingle face-sheet. The System-HG uses B.E.P.'s POWER Taper Tie System in all common widths and full and nominal. Fillers, caps, corners (Ws, inside, outside, and hinge), columns and B.E.P.’s new Quick-Tach Window Buck System are available to complement the System-HG.

World of Concrete 2006 in Las Vegas was a BIG show by all accounts. From the 80,000+ attendees and incredible Mega Demos to the 800,000 square feet of exhibition space, World of Concrete 2006 presented the latest and greatest concrete products and innovations!

A BIG THANKS to all attendees who stopped by the B.E.P. booth while at the show. Visitors were introduced to the new B.E.P. System-HG (HG stands for “hand or gang” set), the new Quick-Tach Window Buck/Frame System engineered for basement and egress windows, and our ever-popular B.E.P. BIG PANELS (8’ x 12’ Rotator with Smooth .160 face-sheet that were stacked 16’ high and standing up 12’ high). Guests also became acquainted with concrete pouring practices and tools like the T-Mass Insulation to create insulated sandwich walls and the Lite-Deck Decking System to build insulated roofing systems. Decorative walls featuring our Georgian Stone, Adobe Brick and new Iowa Shingle patterns were also on display. Visitors could even take in our new video where B.E.P. panels were hard “at work” in both residential and commercial applications. (A special thank you to B.E.P. customers Martinson Construction and Lewallen Construction for providing such great footage!)

We would also like to thank customers and contractors who came to our booth reception Wednesday night after the show. It was great to visit over cold beverages and snacks, and the time provided a little reprieve before taking in the bright lights of Las Vegas.

If you didn’t attend the show or didn’t have a chance to stop by the B.E.P. booth, we invite you to visit our Web site or call us to talk about the new products we have to offer this year. From all of us at B.E.P., we wish you a great 2006!
